Not counting PvP titles, I have all titles maxed and 50/50, and it's not even that hard to get. The only thing that will eat up some time is Treasure Hunter, but I did that because I liked it, and I'm at way over 15k chests with both my accounts... I even know several people with 8 GWAMMs or more.

Maxing all PvP titles is just not humanly possible, so don't even bother with those. After GW2 launches, unless you implement some really strong bot teams, PvP just won't happen. And, if you do implement the bot teams, PvP will simply be farmed, so realistically speaking, getting 'all titles maxed' isn't ever going to happen, and if it is, it's really just going to be cheated.

I'd allow one change only: You get loot from mercenary heroes as well - sorted.

While I agree with you the game turned into "easymode" as soon as all hero teams were implemented.

All titles are now is time and goldsink.

In before its announced:

Wayfarer's Reverie will now be a permanent part of the game.

Lol. That would pretty much take care of the PvE side of the game from my OP. I wonder if its likely that ANet is considering just leaving WR switched "on"?

They extended it but not quite long enough it seems. I just finished the last part and realize it's actually all over. :/

I have not found any single form of activity in PvP for 2 weeks.

- RA : usually not enough players, helping syncers --> not really fun
- JQ/FA : mostly farming bots on luxon side
- HA/Codex : both completly empty, apart on euro night, but it's about sending it several accounts to get a few matchs...
- GvG : Noone on ladder : i'm facing guilds instantly raging at begin( usually having less than 950 rating).. so we get +0 or +1, then -17 in AT's( if the AT is showing up..) where it's about who got most humans in his team --> pretty hilarous

Is it me playing on bad hours( although i'm logging like all the time, apart euro night...), or are there others ways of finding activity ??

Its not just you, this is just the state of the game and has been on a slow decline for a long time, GW2 just exacerbated the issue.

Its one of the reasons I laugh when you see all these people typing "notsigned" first because they think their opinion matters to anyone on the Live Team (or that these forum posts represent the directives ANet gets) and second because they're so misinformed about the reality of the game.

Eerily similar to the concept of an ostrich sticking its head in the sand, people will "/notsign" the game into oblivion.

PvP died in 2008 - the only players left past that were bad, and none of the guilds were even remotely good. Anet stopped even pretending to care about PvP balance, and pretty much every change they made since then (fluxes, mesmer overhaul, dervish overhaul) just screwed up the game even more.

It's always baffled me why people spend so much time and effort trying to revive such a long-dead game. I had a hell of a lot of fun in GW1 PvP, and it was easily the best PvP game I've ever played - but it's over, the company doesn't give a shit about it, and *even if* they attempted to make it "fun" again, it wouldn't work. No change will bring players back to GW1 PvP.

All we can do now is hope that, at some point in the future, they put some real PvP modes into GW2 - because cap points in small groups and cap points in large groups get real old real fast.

(emphasis mine)

and for some reason you believe YOUR opinion DOES matter to them? Laugh at yourself as well.
Whether we say signed or not will have no relevance to the live team.

What's more likely to be read, understood and perhaps implemented in some small way?

1. A clear, concise and rational argument that addresses the issues as the OP sees it and offers at least a constructive method to address the issues.

2. "/notsigned" because derp

While ANet may not care about GW1 in any meaningful way, or if they do are somehow unable to address the issues in their game, the relevant point is that option 1 above is much more likely to be listened to, not to mention shows care and concern about something, whereas option 2 above shows no actual understanding and is a lazy mind's way of refuting a point which it doesn't understand in the first place.

In this case 2 represents the status quo and is therefore more likely to be "implemented" (because it already is), so I don't follow your logic there. I do agree though, that this is a lazy response too often used for the sake of being contrarian. To address your OP then:

1. Disagree that this is a grind. It's the complete opposite really. It's a title you earn by being AFK. It only takes one festival to obtain Hom status on these titles, so there is really no need to accelerate it, and having it open all the time detracts from the Cantha events. The only way this is a grind is if you are doing it with lockpicks. That is the part that should be improved upon. Chests aren't profitable in the first place so Anet could easily make them spawn more. This would help with Treasure Hunter as well.

2. This is basically asking for a handout as you're just getting more stuff for doing the same thing. It would destroy what little remains of the consumables economy. Contrary to your prediction, prices on these items have not risen, and factoring the massive gold inflation on rare mats, these have actually become worth a lot less. And, they've always been one of the easier titles to buy, so no reason to make it easier. And again it detracts from the events.

3. See response to 5 below. In short, multiplying the point gain is not the issue. Twice nothing is still nothing.

4. Another example of begging for handouts/free titles.

5. I do think that the game could benefit from the addition of a bot-mode, which it already had in the past: Hero Battles. They should also take out the live-player requirements for the large PvP modes so that they too can be played with bots. However, to retain any legitimacy this still needs to be PvP, it cannot just be players vs a team of bots. Even a 1-on-1 mode (everything else being bots) would be acceptable, but not 1-on-0. An alternative (or additional) initiative is to scale down the PvP environment overall. Change the small matches to a 3v3 or even 2v2 format. Reduce the medium size battles to 4v4 and the big battles to 6v6. Even then, the bigger modes might be too much for the current player base. These modes are useless if you can't rustle up the players to play them at all, and not legitimate if there isn't a healthy amount of cycling between opponents. The player counts need to come down and/or more bots allowed to take their places.

The primary challenge that GW1 will face is remaining active enough to be playable. PvE wise, nothing really needs to change on that front since you can solo the whole thing. PvP however is basically dead because there aren't enough players to support the game modes.

"1. Probably the most grind required title is the Lucky/Unlucky combo. To that effect, leave the Shing Jea Boardwalk permanently open allowing players to relatively quickly grind out these two titles on Nine Rings."

Increased droprate in some format of sweets, alcohol and party (NOT the one mentioned, note for those who need those that during xmas in eotn, in the actual eye, these are easy to max - one event should let you max all three)

Just work on treasure hunter. This will go a long way towards Lucky & Unlucky + Wisdom as well.

I recall when the Treasure Hunter and Wisdom went account wide, after merging all my characters, my TH and W were almost equal. Now days, my TH is three times what my W is. Did the drop ratios get changed when they went account wide? I no longer mess with chests, unless I find a lockpick. Even then, the lockpick most often winds up being sold to the merchant.

Side Note: Got fiber optics hooked up an hour ago, gonna go try it out.

This is a whine thread. Go have some cheese with it now......

The thread equates to.... "Give me titles others worked hours and hours without having to do my time. Why? Cause I am whining ... please...please please... sign me sign me... wahahaahaha."

Be a big boy, and take the challenges others have done... earn it. Maybe then you can actually appreciate it a bit.
